Communal Art Worship 2

with Elfi Bohl

Elfi Bohl will lead us in a time of worship on the Kora.

Participants are encouraged to create as they listen to the worship sets. Feel free to play an instrument, dance, sing, paint, draw, sculpt, write or create anything else as a form of worship.
Elfi Bohl, Swiss, has been serving with WEC International in Africa for the past 25 years. In The Gambia, the Lord prompted her to learn to play the Kora, the 21-stringed harp-lute and main instrument of the Mandinka people in West Africa. It is said that if lyrics are accompanied by the Kora, the listeners must pay attention, because it is an important message for them. Elfi used Bible scripture, in particular Psalms, to sing and play songs in the traditional style. She was accepted as one of the local “Praise singers”, and her songs opened a way to share the Gospel with the Mandinka. Since then, Elfi has a passion to use “heart music” in worship and evangelism.
