Kintsugi with Liz Waugh McManus This workshop is inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese craft of repairing broken ceramics, where brokenness is not hidden, but repair by a master craftsperson, who uses gold in the cracks, makes the restored vessel more valuable than the original. There are many correlations between the practice of Kintsugi and healing through Christ, so the practice has been used with groups to promote spiritual and mental wellbeing. Liz is a multidisciplinary artist and researcher with both studio and socially engaged practices. She a member of WEC Arts Release and one of the organisers of GCSD. Based in Suffolk in the UK, she is facilitator of the weekly online creative studio, Friday Night Art Club, which welcomes creatives from around the world.website: LizwaughmcmanusInstagram: lizwaughmcmanus Session time(s) Loading...
