Modern Parables with Birte Papenhausen Biblical truth from everyday lifeOften we desire to hear God speak in a clear and bright way and think He is silent. But maybe we just overlook his small still voice speaking in pictures and symbols, just because they are in the shadow of daily life. This workshop wants to bring an awareness of God speaking in visual ways. And it wants to encourage people to teach like Jesus by discovering the art of making spiritual principles approachable by using everyday parallels. Birte Papenhausen is a drama-theologian, missionary with WEC, and member of ArtsRelease. Combining her three passions: drama, theology and different cultures, she inspires faith through theatre so that the Bible is better understood, God is loved more deeply and faith is lived out in everyday life. Her desire is to pass on her knowledge and passion for God and theatre by training others. She teaches orality courses and is on the staff at Cornerstone Bible School in the Netherlands. Her teaching and performing takes her to different countries and continents and shows in very practical ways how theology can be communicated in very concrete, daily life and understandable ways so that oral learners and others get encouraged, challenged and inspired in their spiritual walk with God.
