Restorying the found image

with Lindsey Parker

This beginner friendly workshop is an introduction to photo montage - the assembly of found photographic images.  We will explore different techniques of analogue photo montage, and principles of art including proportion, balance, emphasis and movement for the purposes of visual storytelling with found images.
Lindsey Parker is a wife, mum, children’s pastor, graphic designer with a background in fine arts and cross-cultural mission.  A painter by training and at heart, she has turned her hand to analogue and digital collage whilst seeking consistent creative practice within the short spaces of time that her current season of life allows.  With a deep love of saturated colour, richly detailed imagery and pattern she finds inspiration from the serendipitous juxtaposition of found images and seeks to present them as visual responses to and contemplations of the complexities and beauties of life.
She is one of the organisers of the Global Creative Studio Day and facilitates the online Australian creative studio - Connect and Create.
